Check-in time was at 3pm but as usual, nearing to 4. Oh well, ni lah janji melayu what dyou expect. Anw I couldn't have done it without these girls, really. They literally helped me out with the pre-birthday preparations, wrapping of Kai's newspaper layered present, blowing of the balloons and making my stay at Wanderlust an enjoyable one.

Finally, the VIP guests are here! They're none other than Kai's long time friends from Secondary School! I know it's rather hard to believe but I almost got the shock of my life when I realized that everyone came wearing blue. I may be naive but in my defense, they were extremely persistent and convincing. Perhaps they were indeed telling the truth. Either way, I think it was really sweet that we had a last minute theme which is not only Kai's favorite color but mine as well! And what dyou know, so are the balloons!

I honestly think it was very sweet of Kai to let us have the hotel room to ourselves for a little longer since the girls were going home soon so he brought his friends out to the Lobby for a quick smoke while we do what we're best at = camwhoring. Anw, there was just something different about him that day, it's not a bad thing at all. I guess he grew up? Lol, 19 right!
Kai came back up just in time to take a few snapshots of us fooling around, doing brokeback mountains on each other. Well alright, brokeback hill cause it was just us three lol. I really loved how the photos turned out. I rarely say this but we looked so cute. I love these girls so much. I find myself asking, "What life's without them?" They're so down to earth and they're just beyond great. We're so much alike in so many ways, we totally get each other. They're anything I could ever look for in a bestfriend. It's truly a blessing from above.

3 in the morning, these hyper active big boys decided to head home and I could finally get some sleep! I've been up since morning preparing for everything, making calls and oh god, I deserve a good, long sleep on the world's fluffiest bed and some good ol' in-house stargazing. Curtains and blinds drawn, tucked in bed and all lights out. Oh my god, it was phenomenal. It almost felt like we were really out there, lying on our backs, away from the city lights and gazing at the beautiful night sky.

We did it! We actually woke up just in time for the complimentary breakfast down at the Lobby at Cocotte. Smoked salmon on a bagel with dressings on the side for the boyfriend, scrambled eggs with sauteed mushrooms and chicken sausages for me! Yum. Headed back to our room for a quick nap before checking out at 12noon. I really love the bed, can't get enough of it.
Wanderlust has no doubt the friendliest staffs you could ever hope for. This was our first stay so it'd be a complete lie to say I wasn't excited. I really wanted everything to go smoothly and hopefully a memorable night for everyone to remember. Honestly, I couldn't think of a better way to end of the year 2011 and welcome in 2012. Prior to booking, I've already had a 1001 questions about their policies, rules and regulations. Yeah they're a fussy hotel, standard's a priority but I'm truly grateful and beyond glad that most of my expectations were met. And I really loved the bed! What a great weekend and an awesome start to 2012.
